1} What were you like before you became a Christian?

Before I became a christian, I was anti-church and thought that I would not be welcome at any church because of who I was and my past! I believed that I was simply just not good enough to be a christian! I had a very short fuse and a wild temper. I was drinking and partying to excess and trying desperately to fill a God shaped hole in my life with many wrong things.

2} How did you meet the Lord?

My first step to finding out the truth was by going along to the youth group with whom I had become friends away from the church. Then one friend was being baptised and wanted me to go along, I did, and it was during that service that I felt God pulling at my heart. From then on I kept going back. It took a long time before I would call myself a christian as I still believed that I was not good enough, but now I know that God will never give up on anyone and will love you as you are, he knows me better than I know myself and still thinks that I’m worth dying for!

3) What is Jesus doing in your life now?

Jesus is running my life now! I gave Jesus my life for him to do as he wills. I recently became a father for the first time and in doing so have gained a greater understanding of how God loves all his children unconditionally. I’m trying my best to let Jesus rule in all aspects of my life, but I’m struggling in some areas as I’m only a man at the end of the day!

I know that Jesus is taking care of me and my family and this knowledge has given me great peace in my life. If God wants us to experience something it will happen, it won’t always be a good experience but will ultimately have a good purpose. With Jesus in my life I believe that I am a different person, a better person.
